Zero grants from Centre for Karnataka tourism in last 2 yrs: Data

The state tourism department has chalked out an action plan to utilise close to Rs 130 crore funds sanctioned to the department under various Central government schemes, over the years, for the promotion of tourism. 

 the state government has received approval to take up projects under four central government schemes: Prasad scheme, Swadesh Darshan 2.0, Prasad 2.0 and challenge-based destination development scheme. 

Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, a proposal has been submitted to develop an ecological experience zone and tonga experience in Mysuru and travellers’ nook in Hampi.

Under the Prasad 2.0 scheme, the department has proposed the development of Renuka Yellamma Temple in Saundatti and Paapanasha temple in Bidar and has yet to submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to the centre.
