Governor presents honorary doctorate to ISRO chief Somnath
- ISRO Chairman S Somnath was bestowed with a distinguished honorary doctorate from Bangalore University.
- The honour was presented by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot as part of the university’s 58th convocation.
- Somnath’s expertise in system engineering of launcher rockets, notably his contributions to the architecture, propulsion stage design, structural dynamics designs, separation systems, rocket integration, and integration process development of missions such as PSLV and GSLV.
