Paddy sowing area varies in 'Bele Darshak' app, crop insurance data
- The data on paddy crop mentioned in the crop insurance has varied from the crop grown in the fields.
- This has come to light through the ‘Bele Darshak’ app of the Revenue Department. The data has further said, 50% of the paddy grown which is reflected in the crop insurance report, does not exist in reality.
- For the first time, ‘Bele Darshak’ app was introduced to take up the crop survey. Through this app, crops grown in the Kharif season has been documented.
