Bengaluru set to be India's hotel hub
- Bengaluru, India’s tech hub, is set to overtake Delhi and Mumbai as the country’s hospitality hotspot in the next five years as a large number of hotels have launched new hotel projects in the city.
- Of the 5,700 rooms that are being added to Bengaluru’s hotel industry, 14.3% are in the luxury segment, 26.3% in upscale segment, 28.6% in upper mid-market segment, 5.6% in mid-market and remaining 25.2% are in the budget segment. Among the hotel chains that are adding new hotels in the city include Hilton, JW Marriott, Four Seasons hotels, among others.
